New Rating Method
Another cool little feature has been implemented today. Rating a tutorial, no more needs a new page load. You can rate a tutorial without leaving the current page.
We will soon be bringing back the "report" feature with this ability.
Another big addition are our 3D software categories. We have added 3D Studio Max and Maya 3D to our category listings.
As told earlier we now have category specific RSS Feeds. We will soon be adding sub-category specific feeds and site-specific feeds.
Complete Redesign
Until yesterday, we were using a free template from Styleshout.com and today we have our own new design. This is much more unique and sleek. Less of blank space.
We planned to finish everything up within 1-2 hours. But it took a lot longer due to certain problem we encountered during the change.
Also many more smaller updates are on the agenda. You can expect these very soon. Of course, they site will not be down while we do it.
Fixed RSS & Added click tracking
We had a weird problem with our RSS feed which i was unaware of and today i came to know about it. So now, i have fixed it. Thats one important fix.
We have also added a new feature. It is one most wanted feature - Click Tracking. All clicks are now tracked. We will primarily be using it for our backend purposes. So it will be a while before we start displaying them on the site.
Fireworks Tutorials
Today, we have a new addition on Clever Tutorials. We have added Adobe Fireworks tutorials section to our site. Hope many Fireworks tutorials are submitted.
Also, i heard many people saying that the category list was not noticable. So boldened it so that it looks better now.
RSS Feed Available
So far, our RSS feed was available on our toolbar only. I don't know how i missed to release the feed separately. So here it is now.
Feed URL : http://feeds.feedburner.com/CleverTutorials/
Currently only global feed is available. The latest 20 tutorials will be displayed. We are planning to release Category and Subcategory specific feeds soon.
Report Feature Removed
Due to lots of false reports that we were receiving, we have removed the "report tutorial" feature. From now on we will make sure that everything gets categorized well and all links are working. We will conduct a periodic test to check if any link is broken.
Still, there might be one or two that we may miss. In that case if anyone would like to report it, do mail me at Darkman[at]templora[dot]com
This is just temporary. We may implement back the feature any time soon. Stay tuned.
Clever Tutorials Toolbar
Once again, we are proud and happy to introduce our new Clever Tutorials Toolbar. This makes the user experience much easier.

Some of the main features are :-
- Search the tutorials right from the toolbar
- Latest Tutorials served instantly through our RSS Feed
- Chat with other Clever Tutorials Users
- Latest news from our blog to keep you updated
- Compatible with both Firefox and Internet Explorer
These are just the basic features. We will add more soon. As always we are open to any comments and suggestions.
Added PHP Tutorials
I am happy to announce that we have added PHP as a category at Clever Tutorials. I guess now the site has a wider topic than previously, with only Photoshop and Flash tutorials.
I'd also with to inform you that we've had 99 tutorials so far. Its really very good progress. If this continues, i expect to hit 1000 by the 15th of May
Also we have fixed an error on the submit page. We were unaware of it earlier. Today we found out that the Drop Down Boxes were not displaying any options on IE. We have fixed it now.
Enhanced Search Function
As we promised earlier, we now have an enhanced Search Facility. Irrespective of the number of words you enter, it will search both the title and the description to bring you the most relevant results.
We are always open to comments and suggestions. If you have any please do mail it to me : Darkman[at]templora[dot]com
This enhancement wouldn't stop here. We will work on this so that users will be able to search a tutorials from a category, sub-category or even tutorials from a specific domain.
Rating System
A tutorials index would be meaningless without a Rating system. Users who come to the site for the first time would like to know if a tutorial is worth visiting or not. So we have implemented a simple Rating system today.
It allows users to rate the tutorials on the scale of 1 to 5. Currently we do not have any means of sorting the tutorials based on Rating. But we will soon have a "Top Tutorials" section. We will have it both on a Global basis and also on the category basis.
Welcome to Clever Tutorials
Few days ago we registered the domain and put up a coming up page. Very soon works started on the Site and i am very proud and happy to announce the opening of the site today.
Today Clever Tutorials is open for public. Anyone is allowed to add their own tutorial. To avoid the delay of launch, we now have only limited features. We have Photoshop and Flash and their respective sub categories. We will have more soon.
Users need not register in order to submit tutorials. We think that will be a waste of time. Since we do not have a user system, we categorize the tutorials on the basis of their domain name. We also have the feature so that the tutorials can be submitted to Social Bookmarking site like digg, reddit etc..
We have a simple search system. It allows searching of one word only. We will enhance it considerably in the following days.
More and more features will be coming soon. Stay tuned.
